Sanjay Swani ’87 is the Founder and Managing Partner of SARORAS Private Equity, a private investment firm in information and business services companies. Prior to founding SARORAS, Sanjay worked at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (“WCAS”) for 17 years, where he was Co-Head of the Technology & Business Services Group. Prior to joining WCAS, Sanjay was with Fox Paine & Company, a private equity firm based in San Francisco. Sanjay also worked at Morgan Stanley & Co, both in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department and Debt Capital Markets Department. Mr. Swani has been involved in a number of educational and charitable activities. He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club and the Board of Directors of the Partnership Fund sponsored by the Partnership for New York City. Previously, Sanjay has been a member of the Board of Trustees of The Browning School, The Bolles School, the Red Cross for Greater New York, and the Everybody Wins! Foundation. Sanjay graduated from Princeton University in 1987 with an A.B. degree in molecular biology. He also has graduate degrees from Harvard Law School and the MIT Sloan School of Management.
